Given By Rev Carl Crider on November 18, 2018

Rev. Crider speaks to the issue of inequality for women as related to marriage and society. Matrimony is one of the sacraments. Historically, it celebrates the transferring of property. Luckily, things are changing. Women no longer are considered property. They do not need a man’s permission to keep their last name, own property, or have credit. There are still areas that need to change though. Rev. Crider cites the topics of marital privilege and their role in the church. Paul tells us that both men and women come from God. His message of equality seems to have been lost. We need to “flip the script”. We are equal in the eyes of God. Why are we not equal in the eyes of man? A woman’s place is anywhere she wants to be!
