Luke viewed himself as a historian, recounting the events surrounding Jesus. Today’s reading is taken from the Gospel of Luke. It tells the story of the Good Samaritan. We were treated to a live reenactment of this story. Jesus instructed us to love our neighbor. Our neighbors are every other human being, especially, those in need. While there are many themes within this parable, today we focus on generosity. The Good Samaritan spent their own money to ensure the victim was taken care of. Our generosity campaign has begun. Pilgrim has accomplished so much over the years. We thank everyone for their gifts of time, talents, and money. We are truly blessed.
