The message today is when times are hard, stay close to Jesus. Over the last few years, we have been tested. Life is hard for so many. Each person’s understanding and relationship with Jesus is different and deeply personal. Throughout our life, this understanding evolves and changes. Faith is a journey. Hope and peace enriches our lives. We experience the Divine. We must reach a new understanding of our relationship to the world. The way of Jesus is one of equality and acceptance. We challenge what it means to be an American and a Christian. Paul asked those suffering to pray. By accepting this peace, we find joy. We trust that God has our back. Once we put our faith in God, we are able to find joy in the midst of suffering. Let it fill our life.
